It’s been just a couple of hours back when the familiar sound of the doorbell made her ears perk up. She had been, as always, lazing around on the bed; doing mundane things like scrolling through her text messages as she waited in vain for someone, anyone to reply to her—that, or watching Soojung’s drama from the minute screen. Of course, one would question her as to why she hadn’t utilized the wide flat-screen television in the living room for such a purpose. But no, that’d require her to move and boy was that impossible for her to do today. Well, that was until the appearance of the courier arriving with two boxes of samples became the highlight of her day. Part of her had wanted to rip it open instantly, excited to see how the designs turned out; but doing it alone seemed a lot less exciting that she’d imagined.
As she went along shortlisting who to bother with such an activity, the name of the popular idol came up in her head, and without further ado, she sent a text quickly; fingers tapping against the cardboard box as her tongue darted out to wet drying lips. It was a long wait—all five minutes of it that it took for the female to reply, and when she did, all Jessica had been doing was to wait for her pleasant arrival. In the hours that passed by, she dozed off a bit here and there, but as soon as the sound of the doorbell broke into her thoughts once more, it felt as if she leapt out of bed and headed straight to the door, eager to have her guest for the evening in her apartment.
“Coming, coming!” she called back, pressing a few buttons before she unlocked the door for her; knowing all too well how harsh the cold outside must have been. Hands pulling at the wooden door, she hummed softly in anticipation as she awaited for the fashionable lady to appear before her doorsteps.
It didn’t take long for the unnie to get her message and relay. Thank goodness, cause the hoodie which was pulled tightly around her was definitely not keeping the thin raven haired woman warm in the slightest. So instead she took the moment, to silent her phone because why would she want to interrupted at her eonnie’s house. That’d be so quite rude. There was a breaking the silence moment, as Jessica’s voice rang out. “Thank you!” She hummed in response before breaking into the door, and up the stairs to where she needed to be. Excitement flowed through her core, because honestly, what made Hyuna think that Jessica of all people would be inviting her to look at her designs.
After all, Jessica had been through a lot recently and maybe that’s why Hyuna gravitated towards her. It seemed a very big habit for Hyuna to find the broken people, or stressed out people and try and help. As she pulled the hoodie from her head, a soft smile played on her face. She wished she had been able to be there the moment the other had rang, but schedules called and that’s exactly why Hyuna’s face was done to an almost form of perfection. Stark red lips contrasted with her milky skin, as she closed in on her eonnie’s door and those same red lips pulled back into a wide smile.
“Eonnie!” She let out, abruptly as she finally saw her. Almost, so very tempted to reach out for a hug but she refrained. With a bow of her head, she smiled at the other. “Ah, so much warmer in here. It’s so cold outside.” The raven haired girl let out an exaggerated shiver before a laugh passed her lips, as she figured to just move her way into the door and slip out of her shoes out of due respect for the elder. “Oh my! I’m excited to see, and can I say honored you called me of all people to open it with!” She couldn’t contain herself, so it was easy for her to ramble on in excitement as she glanced her head about to try and find the nearest pair of slippers.
